The spacious, green valley is framed by a mountain panorama like the 2964 meter high Zugspitze, which is the highest mountain in Germany, Alpspitze, Wetterstein, Wank and Kramer. In only 6 minutes walking distance you will be in the pedestrian area, where you will find diverse shopping facilities and Bavarian style restaurants.

Well–sign posted 300 km summer and 150 km long winter trails offer you the opportunity to hike the magnificent area thoroughly. There are 38 mountain railways and ski lifts for mountain climber, skier or hiker which will take you to your desired destination all year around. The market town offers something for everybody’s taste.
Art, culture and surrounding provide a diversified recreational program and leisure activities.
The main sights are Schloss Neuschwanstein, Schloss Linderhof, Partnach gorge, the monastery in Ettal, the Wieskirche, historical Ludwigstraße in Partenkirchen and a lot more.
